If there’s one thing I love about the A/W months, it’s the cosy knitwear. In this post I’ve pulled a selection of pieces I already have in my wardrobe, as well as some pieces that are very much on my wishlist…
Let’s get into it.
1. LMND - Dakota Striped Sweater
I love this soft, stripy number from Australian brand Lemonade! With LMND’s signature drop shoulder, it’s such a staple, easy-to-wear piece that works well with pretty much all denim.
2. Navygrey - The Maree Crew
Navygrey is a beautiful brand. This relaxed, slightly oversized knit is inspired by the sweaters worn by fisherman! Made from 100% British undyed wool, it’s a truly traditional, heritage piece. Perfect for a weekend away in the countryside.
3. H&M - Fine Knit Collared Jumper
The colour of the season! This collared jumper is super affordable and looks way more expensive than it actually is. The v-neck is super chic and I like how it’s styled with loose trousers.
4. COS - Chunky Flecked Wool Zip-Up Cardigan
This zip-up is so me, I need it in my life! I love the speckled wool effect alongside the silver zip detailing. I could definitely imagine wearing this on a cosy Sunday dog walk in the forest with Effie.
Ugh - j'adore, I love a little pop of red in an outfit. These timeless Sézane cardigans come in so many colours and can be hard to get your hands on! I love that Sézane recommend wearing it in two ways - buttons at the front (as pictured) or buttons at the back for a totally different vibe - beautiful.
6. ARKET - Relaxed Cashmere-Wool Jumper
Another oversized gem. This gorgeous, relaxed green knit from Arket is a winner! It’s super soft thanks to the cashmere but still feels strong thanks to the added wool.
7. Reformation - Jadey Cashmere Sweater
I always get asked about this sweater! It’s my favourite, trusty Reformation Jadey knit in a beautiful chocolatey brown colour. V-neck’s tend to be super flattering and I love the roomy fit and and feel of this. Can easily be dressed up or down with a white t-shirt poking through.
8. COS - Chunky Pure Cashmere Crew-Neck Jumper
This is a classic COS jumper that’s been doing the rounds for years! And that’s no surprise… it's a quality, cashmere wardrobe staple IMO. It feels premium, it washes well and has a relaxed fit perfect for layering.
What’s your favourite knit in your wardrobe? Which piece do you keep coming back to year after year? Let me know.
I think my favorite knit has to be a houndstooth cardigan I got handed down from my mom. It’s black and white with hints of red. I always get complimented on it, and I feel it’s a bit timeless and goes with everything. That red Sézane cardigan is so chic, I really do like it.
I just read your post. What you’re going through is exactly what I go through when the weather changes. the clocks go back the leaves fall and everything outside seems so bare. I wish I could write like you and do and is able to convey my own experiences as well as you. I will try. The anxiety I experience is literally painful. I am constantly asking my husband when our next trip is coming up. Then I start the countdown. I desperately seek the sunshine and to be able to walk outside and be around people. I need the noise not the silence. This is how I feel about spring because I winter is coming and with winter comes silence. Even the change of clothes does not excite me.I have to wait until the last minute to change my wardrobe.
