We’ve all been there - sitting down to work, fully intending to be productive, only to find ourselves scrolling, snacking, or suddenly deep-cleaning the kitchen. I’ve been working from home for 10+ years, which I know probably sounds like a dream (no commute, taking meetings in yoga pants etc. etc.) but staying focused? That’s a whole different challenge.
Here are my tips…
DEDICATED WORKSPACE
One of the most effective ways to stay focused while working from home is to create a dedicated workspace. Having a designated desk or home office isn’t just about aesthetics - it’s about sending a signal to my brain that it’s time to work and get shit done.
But I won’t lie - with the sheer amount of emails that fly into my inbox, sometimes sitting on the sofa and churning through them all in comfort works best.
